SWMCC Upcoming Photo Exhibits

The camera club has space available to us for the months of January and February at the Frisco Library Station on North Kansas Expressway. Here are the specifications for this display. All photos must be matted and framed with wire hangers attached on the back. The photos are due to the Library before January 1st, so Sandy Reese and I will be gathering them. If you will call one of us we will make arrangements to meet you somewhere to pick them up. You may bring your items to be displayed during February at the Library Station to the January 2nd or 4th Thursday meetings. The other exhibit site is at The Springfield Conservation Center during the month of February. If you could bring those to either January meeting, Sandy and/or I will collect them. The specifications to display at The Conservation Center are matted only, the minimum size to be 8x10. It was suggested that you have some type of protective cover on the photo to protect it from fingerprints and smudges. Again, please call Sandy or myself if you have any questions, or if you would like us to pick up your items for display.

UPDATE: Concerning the Springfield Conservation Center. They want mostly Missouri Nature photos, but others will be considered.

Barry Lawrence County Library

We will be exhibiting in the Barry Lawrence County Library Branches. There is a total of 10 branches and I believe this may help us get our name out there. I am considering doing a traveling exhibit with them or just rotating pictures out monthly. I need as many pictures as I can get I am asking for 11x14 or smaller. They just need to be mounted and matted. I will be picking the photos up at the 4th Thursday meeting in Feb. If you can't make the meeting and would like to arrange for drop off please email me.

Christian County Library

We will be exhibiting in the Christian County Library in Ozark for the entire month of April. I will be picking up the photos for the exhibit during the month of March. These pictures can be mounted, matted, framed or on canvas. The exhibit will be behind a glass case. If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

Presentation

I am putting together a slideshow presentation that will be shown at several of the Barry Lawrence County Regional Library Branches with the first one being in Eagle Rock Missouri. The purpose of the slideshows are to show what we do, who we are, and the pictures we take. I am wanting pictures taken during the field trips, pictures that were competion winners, and pictures of club members, and pictures that club members have taken. I can't do this without everyones contributions, and I have received a few already. Any pictures will be accepted as long as they are child friendly. Please email me your photos prior to March 4 and I will get them added.
